So that's that - Bastian Schweinsteiger is leaving Bayern Munich after 14 years.

The German international is set to join Manchester United in the next 48 hours following confirmation from Bayern that he is to leave the club. The Bundesliga champions held a press briefing at the Allianz Arena today and introduced new signings to local journalists. Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the news to the assembled media. A deal is in place between Bayern and United and Rummenigge said Schweinsteiger was looking for 'a new experience'. Schweinsteiger has scored 45 goals for Bayern in 323 games. He has won eight league titles and a Champions League with the current Bundesliga champions.
