Barcelona fans don't want Messi to play in El Clasico

One set of fans really hope that Lionel Messi doesn't start Saturday's Clasico - and it's not the ones you might think.

The Argentinian captain has been out of action since suffering a knee injury against Las Palmas on September 26, and Barca fans don't want to risk bringing back their superstar too early. In a fan poll held by Sport, a whopping 79% of supporters showed a surprisingly long-term outlook as they voted against starting Messi against Real Madrid on Saturday. Of course, there's always the chance that the online poll was hijacked by a group of supporters for another team who might want to see Messi grow frustrated with a lack of game time and thus seek a transfer. But what group of fans would organise themselves in such a way just to win an online poll?
