Dembele, 20, only arrived at Dortmund last summer. Despite reported interest from several Premier League clubs at the time, the Bundesliga club were able to sign the forward from Rennes for a fee of just over £13m. Assuming there were no sell-on clauses agreed with Rennes, Dortmund have made a profit of almost £84m on the player after just one season in Germany.
As well as their big money move for Dembele, Barca have had two bids knocked back for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho. Although the player is keen on a move to Spain, Liverpool insist that any further offers for the Brazilian will also be rejected.Explore more on these topics:
