The obsession with his dogs continues to grow.
Alexis Sánchez’s dogs, Atom and Humber, have become the most famous pets in football as a result of their presence on Sánchez’s social media accounts and this bizarre advert.
When Sánchez was at Arsenal, the fans became enamoured with the pair of Golden Retrievers. So much so that they put up a banner in the stadium in homage to the dogs, labelling them ‘good boys’. After the player’s departure, the banner came down in what was an emotional moment for Gooners.
Now at United, the fans in Manchester also appear to have taken a liking to Atom and Humber. During today’s match against Huddersfield, they also unveiled a banner, welcoming the player and his pets to Manchester.

A bit of light-hearted fun, most people would agree. Except the stewards at the ground did not find it amusing and promptly removed the banner after about half an hour.
The Alexis, Atom and Humber banner didn't last long. Just been removed by a steward.

It might be something to do with the fact that this weekend marks 60 years since the Munich air disaster and the banner was considered to be bad taste.
It should be said that many fans disapprove of the banner, calling it cringeworthy.
Actually, the Alexis/dog banner is not to like. Get rid! ?♂️

“You’re sure you want us to make this banner?”
“Yes, Alexis will love it.”
“And you definitely want his dogs’ pictures and names on it?”
“Yes please.”
“But everyone else in the country will take the piss.”
“Just make the banner.”— Neal Underwood (@neal_sousbois) February 3, 2018

On the pitch, United were back to winning ways after an embarrassing defeat to Spurs midweek as they beat Huddersfield 2-0 thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sánchez.
