Aussie footballer considers name-change after Alex Teixeira and Ramires join his club

It seems as though Jiangsu Suning’s transfer policy these days is ‘Brazilians, and lots of them’.

Alex Teixeira opted for China over Liverpool, while former Chelsea man Ramires has already got off the mark for the Asian Champions League contenders after moving in January.

Jiangsu have even reportedly bid big money for another Brazil star, Ramires’ former Chelsea team-mate Oscar, and this has not gone unnoticed by one of the club’s current crop.

Trent Sainsbury, an Australian international with Central Coast Mariners and PEC Zwolle on his footballing CV, decided he might need a name-change after paying attention to the influx of South Americans.

Not sure it’s going to catch on, Trent.

And anyway, we reckon there might be another reason behind the proposed change.
