Ashley Cole has taken another significant pay cut to join LA Galaxy

Almost a decade ago, Ashley Cole switched from Arsenal to Chelsea in a deal which made him one of the best paid footballers in the land.
After reportedly earning close to £200,000-per-week during his final season at Stamford Bridge, it was claimed that Cole had agreed to take a staggering pay cut when he joined AS Roma in 2014 - agreeing a contract of only £35,000 per week. The former England international has now left Italy and has signed a contract with LA Galaxy ahead of the new MLS season and once again, it appears poor old Ashley has had to take a drop in wages.
The Los Angeles Times claim Cole will earn what amounts to around £4,000 on a weekly basis.
It might be significantly less than the money he was earning when at his peak, but we're sure there are plenty of people out their who'd be willing to try to get by on this kind of money.Explore more on these topics:
