Benjamin Sesko has given Arsenal fans a major boost by quietly following the North London club from his personal Instagram page.
The Slovenian International, who currently plays his trade for Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig, has today followed Arsenal’s main account on Instagram — making clear his willingness for the move.
After suffering an injury crisis that saw the club end the season with defensive midfielder Mikel Merino as the club’s main attacking outlet, it’s clear that The Gunners are very keen on strengthening their options.
Sesko is certainly one of the names that’s being discussed by the Arsenal hierachy, but in recent weeks Arsenal have appeared to be also monitoring the situation of Sporting star Viktor Gyökeres.
The decision to follow the club quickly caught the attention of Arsenal fans, with many seeing the deal as good as done.
There can be no doubt that Sesko would make an instant impact to Arsenal’s squad, whose lack of attacking prowess ultimately cost them ground in the title race with Liverpool last season.
At 6ft 4in tall, and with bags of rapid pace, the Slovenian seems to fit the profile The Gunners are searching for this summer. He also scored 13-goals and recorded 5-assists last season.
While those 13-goals don’t compare to the 52 scored by Gyokores in the Portuguese league, the fact that Sesko is six-years younger than the Swede is said to mark him out as a more attractive option.
