Arsenal Fan TV didn’t wait long to give their reaction to Wenger’s Arsenal exit

"Wenger out, he's going"

Robert Redmond

Arsene Wenger has announced that he will leave Arsenal at the end of the season.

After almost 22 years as manager of the Gunners, Wenger will walk away from the job, despite having a year left on his contract. The Frenchman will be remembered as the best manager in the club’s history. He guided them to 17 trophies, including three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

His crowning achievement was winning the double with Arsenal in 2004 when the team went unbeaten during the league campaign, the first English side in modern times to complete this feat. However, the second half of Wenger’s reign has seen the side fail to reach such heights. Arsenal slipped out of the top four last season, and look set for another year out of the Champions League unless they can win the Europa League.

Since Wenger announced his departure on Friday morning, tributes have flooded in from former Arsenal players and the wider world of football. Arsenal Fan TV, the popular YouTube channel on which many contributors have long called for Wenger to leave, also reacted to the announcement.

Robbie Lyle, the Arsenal Fan TV host, broke the news to the channel’s subscribers.

And DT, a regular contributor and long-time Wenger critic, filmed his reaction from his hospital bed.

DT said, at first, he didn’t believe reports Wenger was set to go and welcomed the news.
