Arsenal fan is already regretting tattoo promise after Jamie Vardy goal

Not too smart

Tom Victor

This is surely the quickest someone has gone from arrogance to regret and back.

Upon seeing Jamie Vardy leave the England bench, one Arsenal fan was so confident the Leicester man would struggle to make an impact that he pledged to get a tattoo of Arsene Wenger in the unlikely event of a Vardy goal.

It should be noted that the fan in question is firmly in the #WengerOut brigade.

Of course, Vardy took little more than two minutes to make @DeejayDT eat his words, flicking home an equaliser for his first goal in England colours.

And the response, while not quite humble, was at least self-deprecating enough.

Indeed, just minutes later he had a lightbulb moment.

It wouldn’t be the worst football-related tattoo we’ve seen this season. Not by any stretch.

Still, we eagerly await the end result.
