Arsenal and Everton fans can’t take their eyes off Aaron Lennon’s beard

It's all anyone can talk about.

Aaron Lennon hasn’t got his name on the scoresheet since way back in August, and we’re starting to think he hasn’t shaved since.

The Everton winger took to the field against Arsenal with a heavy beard, reminding us that we haven’t seen much of the former Tottenham man this season.

It was only his third league start of the season, and he took to the field of play looking like this.

People began to take notice before kickoff.

But the running commentary really began when the game got underway.

But was it bad, or just unfamiliar?

Maybe he was trying to distract people from more important matters.

It might have been a tribute to a former teammate.

But it certainly confused people.

And perhaps the England international is preparing himself for a source of income after football.

It was the main talking point of the first half.

And even goals from Alexis Sanchez and Seamus Coleman weren’t enough to distract people from the matter at hand.

Now it’s time to wait and see what happens if Lennon does eventually end his goalscoring drought? Will the beard go, or will it get even more extreme?
