Arjen Robben’s dream team XI features both John Terry and Ruud van Nistelrooy

A lot of Bayern Munich men

When we sat down to look at the men that Arjen Robben had left out of his dream team, we realised how many incredible players the Dutchman had played alongside in the past.

Iker Casillas, Didier Drogba, Raul, Ashley Cole, Michael Ballack, Fabio Cannavaro, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos – the list goes on and on.

So the players who were selected by Robben in his ultimate XI of former teammates can feel pretty privileged to receive the honour of a starting place in an entirely hypothetical team.

Borussia Dortmund v FC Bayern Muenchen - UEFA Champions League Final

Robben, who has won domestic titles in Holland, England, Spain and Germany, was spoilt for choice and named a team with five current teammates at Bayern Munich.

The 32-year-old selected Manuel Neuer in nets, Philipp Lahm and David Alaba in the back four, while there were places on the wing for Thomas Muller and Franck Ribery.

In non-Bayern selections, the legendary Chelsea pair of John Terry and Frank Lampard made the cut, as did Real Madrid stalwart Sergio Ramos while fellow countrymen Mark van Bommel, Wesley Sneijder and Ruud van Nistelrooy completed the line-up.
