Anthony Martial’s agent hints at Manchester United exit

He has fallen out of favour at Old Trafford

Another victim of the Mourinho regime

Anthony Martial arrived at Manchester United as somewhat of an unknown quantity. A supremely talented forward who had impressed in Ligue 1, earning comparisons with the great Thierry Henry. And we saw why immediately; his debut goal against Liverpool in front of the Stretford end made him an instant hero.

Since then, he’s moved from the centre to the wing, to the bench, and generally found himself stuck on the left while Zlatan Ibrahimović and then Romelu Lukaku claimed the central attacking spot. Despite his talent, he is often ignored completely in favour of players more suited to Mourinho’s style of play. With the arrival of Alexis Sánchez in January, it could well be time for Martial to move on and rediscover some form elsewhere.

Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, today hinted at the possibility of a summer exit for his client. Speaking in an interview with Juventus news site Il Bianconero, Lamboley said: “Will [Martial] stay in Manchester in the summer? At the moment, I cannot say anything else about it.”

He insisted that: “His goal is to win the FA Cup and to cement with Manchester United the second place in the Premier League.”

Martial will not be short of suitors, with Arsenal and Juventus reportedly interested in taking the player away from Manchester.
