Angel Di Maria reveals how his departure from Manchester United came to be

Angel Di Maria left Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, and few were sorry to see him depart.

Speaking to BeIN Sports, Di Maria has now revealed that by that stage, he had already spoken to PSG boss Laurent Blanc about a switch to the French capital. "The first time we spoke, it was before I signed for PSG. This made me very happy. "It happened the same way when Mourinho made me come to Real Madrid. They called me before I spoke with them. Blanc called me when he was in the United States and I was still on holiday. "He said he was very happy to recruit me, that he had wanted me for several seasons. Obviously, this gave me an added incentive to sign for PSG."
