But the 29-year-old from Hexham had also anticipated that both teams wouldn't score when City hosted Watford.
Everything was going swimmingly when the league leaders rushed to a 3-0 lead but, out of nowhere, their defence was breached when Andre Gray tapped into an open net from three yards in the final 10 minutes.
Beadle stood to pocket a staggering £12,902.07 if City's defence had kept the visitors out but it wasn't to be and Gaz will have to return to the drawing board.
