Amir Khan wants to speak to Conor McGregor now that UFC 202 is over

"Call me!"

“There are a lot of options and some might not be in this sport.”

A very vague Conor McGregor sent the rumour mill into overdrive with one of his first comments after his redemptive victory over Nate Diaz in the main event of UFC 202 on Saturday night.

What on earth did the above remark mean? A stint in the WWE? An acting gig? A switch to boxing?

Who knows what’s next up for the enigmatic McGregor?

UFC president Dana White insists there are only two options on the table for his most valuable cash cow and, unsurprisingly, neither of them relate to former WBA light-welterweight champion Amir Khan.

Khan continues to bang the drum for a cross-sport clash with ‘The Notorious’ and has insisted that he’s started training in MMA with the ultimate goal of squaring off with McGregor.

In the wake of the Irishman’s triumphant rematch against Diaz, Khan jumped at the chance to insert himself in the discussion.

After congratulating McGregor on the win, the Olympic silver medallist asked ‘The Notorious’ to get in touch with him to get the ball rolling on a potentially lucrative boxer vs. mixed martial artist super-fight.

We wouldn’t hold our breath on this one, fight fans.
