Alvaro Morata isn’t praising himself when he celebrates his goals with the sign of an ‘A’.

You’d be excused for assuming that the ‘A’ stood for Alvaro and that the Chelsea forward simply reminds everyone how amazing he is when he finds the net.

Morata scored his ninth goal for the Blues on Saturday afternoon as Antonio Conte’s side claimed a routine 4-0 victory over West Brom.

And the Spaniard marked the goal with his trademark celebration as he made the sign of an ‘A’ with his fingers.

Always A I love u so much @alicecampello ❤️?

After the game, Morata revealed the significance of that particular gesture to him.

“Always A I love you so much, Alice Campello,” Morata wrote on Instagram, tagging his wife in the post.

The couple really enjoy the fact that both of their first names begin with the letter ‘A’ and Morata’s celebration is seemingly a nod to the love they have for one another.

TI AMOOOO INFINITAMENTE ❤️❤️❤️ @alvaromorata #A?

Morata and Campello, who is a model and fashion designer, got married in Venice in June and are clearly well in the midst of the honeymoon period.

Morata has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water since making the move from Real Madrid for £60 million in the summer.

And with teammate Eden Hazard now back to full fitness, he is flourishing in his partnership with the Belgian winger.

“We performed very well,” Antonio Conte said after this weekend’s victory. “Morata and Hazard have a great link, they are now 100 per cent fit, it is easy to forget that we started the season without Hazard.”
