He’s gone, forever

Alexis Sanchez has left Manchester United for Inter Milan on a permanent transfer. Manchester United confirmed the news on Thursday morning. Look for yourself, touch it, it’s real.

“Everyone at Manchester United wishes Alexis Sanchez all the best in his future career as he joins Inter Milan on a permanent transfer,” a club statement read.

United will not receive a fee for the player who had more than a year left on his contract.

Sanchez has spent the past year on loan at Inter Milan has done enough to convince the San Siro club to sign him permanently. The Chilean will be earning significantly less than his rumoured £400k a week wage at United, with his new salary understood to be around £7m a year.

His new club could still meet United in the latter stages of the Europa League this season with both teams progressing into the quarter finals on Wednesday night.
