Alan Shearer caught on camera criticising “cheating, robbing” Colombians

Shearer's comments were in response to Colombia's antics

Alan Shearer was captured on camera on Tuesday night making clear his opinions on the style of play used by Colombia in their round of 16 World Cup tie against England.

The comments were made after England’s victory over the South Americans on penalties, which came after the game had finished 1-1 after 120 minutes.

Despite their late equaliser and encouraging display in extra-time, Colombia’s stand out attribute was their aggression and what many England fans perceived as their ‘dirty tactics’ throughout.

In footage obtained by The Mirror, Shearer is seen discussing the game with fellow pundit Jermaine Jenas in the BBC studio in Moscow.

Sitting in the studio prior to the BBC’s highlights show of the game, Shearer can be heard saying:

“We don’t even care. Whatever way you want we’ll just talk about it.”

“Who gives a shit. We’ll smile and be happy and say ‘Well done lads’. Colombia you cheating, robbing. fucking….”

Shearer’s comments came in response to some high-profile shithousery from the Colombians, which involved Wílmar Barrios headbutting England’s Jordan Henderson, and saw a number of Colombian players attempt to scuff the penalty spot before Harry Kane put England in front on 57 minutes.
