Aaron Lennon has revealed he has returned to training following his mental health problems earlier in the year.
The 30-year-old was detained by police under the Mental Health Act two months ago over concerns over his welfare.
Describing this as a 'difficult period', the Everton winger has now explained that he 'can't wait to kick on' in a post shared from his Twitter account.
As well as thanking those that have helped him during his time at The Priory in both Darlington and Altrincham and Salford Royal Hospital, he also added that the support he had received from football fans and the general public has been 'incredible'.
'It's important for me to emphasise that there is amazing help out there,' he adds. 'Anyone feeling anything out of the ordinary should seek support.'
