Impressive scoring record

With Sadio Mane’s poor time keeping skills earning him a place on the Southampton bench over the weekend, it didn’t take long for reports to resurface that the Senegalese star would soon be on his way to Manchester United.

While it appeared that the stars were aligning for Mane to head to Old Trafford, it now seems that United are set to move for one of his countrymen.

You’ve almost certainly never heard of Oumar Niasse, but The Guardian reports that a host of Premier League clubs have. The Lokomotiv Moscow striker has been scouted by United, Chelsea and Spurs after scoring 12 goals in 21 games.

According to the report, Niasse is also turning heads elsewhere in Europe but is said to prefer a move to England for professional and personal reasons. United appear to be his most likely destination as his wife is currently based in Manchester.

After Lokomotiv paid around £4m to bring him to the Russian capital, Niasse is likely to cost around £15m.
