People are freaking out because they can’t access the Fantasy Football website

Panic stations!

Darragh Murphy

You may have laughed at your friend who had his Fantasy Football team prepared for weeks now.

Many thought they were being clever in waiting until Saturday morning to decide on any final transfers, consider who to make captain and hold off in case Lionel Messi was announced as a Middlesbrough player on Friday night.

But a lot of those that chose to play the waiting game have been punished on the opening day of the Premier League season because, horrifically, the Fantasy Football website and app have been playing up all morning.

We can’t say we blame those who found themselves panicking as the 11.30am deadline quickly closed in on them while they furiously, frantically, tearfully refreshed.
