This ground crew member had an evening to forget at the Royals’ game one defeat to the Astros in the MLB playoffs.
He stupidly trusted his colleagues to unfurl the tarp with caution when the crew sprinted to get the field covered during a rain shower – but the tarp got hungry.
The unfortunate lad lost his footing and found himself being eaten alive by the covering as the rest of the crew bizarrely continued to barrel forward.

It genuinely could have taken a turn for the worse but the unrollers eventually halted their forward momentum and let their fellow groundsman escape from the jaws of the terrifying tarp.
