Normally I use this space to write a hundred or so words on something that's happened throughout the week that resonated with me or provoked a particularly strong opinion.
This week I'm unsure of what to write about. I could rant about the flawed logic behind FIFA's proposals to have a biennial World Cup. I could complain about the National Insurance hike screwing the younger and poorer population. I could gush about Lionel Messi's hat-trick for Argentina which made him the highest goalscorer in South American football history. I could rave about Emma Raducanu's incredible achievement of reaching the US Open final as a qualifier at the age of 18. But I'm quite hungover and I can't quite bring my brain to do any of that, and realistically, who reads this bit anyway?
The quiz this week features everyone's favourite round: capital cities. No Ottawa or Ankara though, I've tried to ramp up the difficulty. There is also a round on iconic film quotes, and the picture round requires you to identify MPs. Good luck.
