Liverpool started off reasonably well in the 2008/09 season.

In the opening round of the 2008/09 Premier League campaign, Liverpool defeated Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light. We're asking you to name the 11 players that started for the Reds in that away match on August 16, 2008. You have five minutes to complete the quiz. Surnames will be accepted as full answers. We will give you two hints because this quiz is pretty damn difficult. Firstly, an Irishman started for Liverpool. Secondly, one of their French midfielders made his third and final Premier League appearance for Liverpool that day. That's all you're getting. Best of luck and let us know how you get on.
