Tom Watson today announced Labour's support for an England-led bid to host the 2030 World Cup.
The deputy leader of the Labour party spoke on Sky News this morning about how the 2018 World Cup has united the country after a difficult year.
Back in 2010 England launched a bid to host the 2018 World Cup, headed by David Beckham, Prince William and then Prime Minister David Cameron. England missed out on hosting the tournament as the privilege was awarded to Russia, but Watson is adamant that now is the right time to launch another bid.
