The following includes spoilers for Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.

Current personal attorney of Donald Trump and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has called a scene featuring him in the new Borat film “a complete fabrication”.

The scene towards the end of the movie features Rudi Guiliani, caught on hidden cameras, appearing to reach into his trousers and touch his genitals while in the same room as an actress playing Borat’s daughter. It takes place following him being interviewed by her in a hotel room, after which she suggests that they move into another room for a drink.

The Borat sequel launches on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, but early reviews have pointed to the scene as one of the stand-out moments.

Now Guiliani has responded with a statement on Twitter.

“The Borat video is a complete fabrication,” says Rudy Giuliani. “I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment.”

“At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar.”

“As soon as I realized it was a set up I called the police, which has been noted in THR article on July 8th.”

In July, Giuliani confirmed to The New York Post that Sacha Baron Cohen had tried to prank him, but claimed that he “didn’t get me.”

“This person comes in yelling and screaming, and I thought this must be a scam or a shake-down, so I reported it to the police. He then ran away,” he told the Post.

“I only later realized it must have been Sacha Baron Cohen. I thought about all the people he previously fooled and I felt good about myself because he didn’t get me.”

Rudy Guiliani is the current personal attorney to Donald Trump, and was mayor of New York between 1994 and 2001.
