Zigi Shipper was sent to Auschwitz in 1944

In 1944, when he was just a boy, Zigi Shipper was one of over a million Jews sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Here he shares his astonishing story, from being forced out of his home in Łódź, Poland and into a ghetto, to the horrors of the death camp, and his escape to begin a new life in Britain. He also shares his message to those who sought to kill him: "You killed 6 million Jewish people. 1.5 million were children. But you didn't succeed. The family that I've got can prove it."
