Some people think Will Smith used his recent Chris Rock apology video to promote Jaden Smith's water brand. The actor, 56, uploaded a lengthy video on Friday, in which he apologised for slapping Rock, 57, at The Oscars in March. The incident happened after Rock, the American comedian who was presenting an award on stage, made a joke which mocked Smith's wife's hair. Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia, looked unimpressed by the remarks, and her husband rushed on stage to assault Rock in front of the audience. In his apology video, released four months after the incident, the I Am Legend star explained why he didn't apologise to Rock when he accepted the award for best actor just minutes after the assault. “It’s all fuzzy,” Smith said. “I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is he’s not ready to talk, and when he is, he will reach out.” Smith apologised and branded his own behaviour “unacceptable”.
