The comedian was at the same event when Chappelle was attacked on stage
Chris Rock aimed a dig at Will Smith after fellow comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked on stage in Los Angeles.
Chappelle
was tackled to the ground by a man whilst he was performing at the Hollywood Bowl in LA as part of the Netflix Is A Joke comedy festival.
Security and friends, including Jamie Foxx, then rushed on stage to stop the attacker.
Rock had performed at the event earlier in the night and was also present when the attack happened.
And it sounds like he couldn't pass up the opportunity for a joke.
The comedian apparently grabbed the mic on stage in the moments after the attack and asked the crowd: "Was that Will Smith?"

Rock was of course
attacked on stage himself at the Oscars in March, when Will Smith slapped him for a joke he made about Jada Pinkett Smith's hair.
Chappelle also joked about the attack just moments after it happened, saying the attacker "was a trans man."
The comedian's last comedy special prompted a backlash for
jokes he made about the transgender community.
After the incident, Chappelle told the crowd: "I didn’t know if that was part of the show or… I grabbed the back of that n****s head, his hair was spongy, absorbent."
He added: "I’ve been doing this 35 years, I just stomped a n***a backstage. Always wanted to do that."
