Whoopi Goldberg blasts millennials who only want to work four hours a day

‘We had to busy our behinds’

Whoopi Goldberg has tore into Millennials who she says only want to work four-hours a day.

The 67-year-old icon was discussing what she deems to be the problem with Gen Zers and Millennials when she told other ABC panellists that the younger generations have a “much different view” of the American dream than those who came before them.

Goldberg explained: “Data shows that soaring inflation, student debt and limited room for advancement in the workplace has made them feel that milestones like affording a home, starting a family, [and] excelling within the corporate structure are out of reach.”

Former Trump aide-turned-critic, Alyssa Farah Griffin, argued that Millennials have gone through a “housing crisis”, “financial crisis,” “9/11,” and have been “at war” for practically their entire lives.

However Goldberg hit back saying: “Every generation comes and wants to do better than their parents did. Every generation.

“But I’m sorry. If you only want to work four hours, it’s gonna be harder for you to get a house.”

She added: “I feel for everybody that feels this but I’m sorry, we busted our behinds. We had to bust our behinds because we didn’t have the option of going back.”

Griffin then insisted that Millennials are the first generation who are statistically more likely to be worse off than their parents to which Goldberg replied: “You know what? That’s what they said to us as well.

“Every generation is told, ‘You’re gonna do worse than your parents.’

“And you know what? People pick it up and they do what they do and they raise themselves and this is what you gotta do. It’s called being a good citizen.”
