Video: Drug smugglers attempt to sneak $500k worth of weed into the US…in carrots

In an attempt to smuggle 2,493 pounds of marijuana into the United States, drug traffickers used orange duct tape to fashion pretend carrots. Sadly for them, it didn't work. Officers in Pharr, Texas, found the weed masquerading as veg concealed within a commercial shipment of fresh carrots entering from Mexico. The street value of the haul is estimated at $500,000.
“Once again, drug smuggling organizations have demonstrated their creativity in attempting to smuggle large quantities of narcotics across the U.S.-Mexico border,” said Port Director Efrain Solis Jr.
