American troops were reportedly told by commanders that President Donald Trump was “anointed” to attack Iran on Saturday and cause “Armaggeddon”, a shocking report has revealed.
The joint US-Israel attacks on Iran on Saturday were launched following Iranian nuclear negotiations and weeks of civil unrest in the country.
In the attacks, the US killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several other high profile Iranian officials.
Speaking to The New York Times, Trump said this week that he ordered US troops to continue attacking Iran for “four to five weeks”, without providing details of his plan.
According to independent journalist Jonathan Larsen on Substack, since the attack, hundreds of US troops across dozens of units and installations have submitted complaints to non-profit watchdog Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF).
The MFRR reportedly told Larsen that the remarks were submitted in more than 110 complaints about commanders across all military branches, including more than 40 units across 30 military installations.
Mirror US reports that non-commissioned officers who attended a briefing on Monday, told the MRFF that a combat-unit commander “urged us to tell our troops that this was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’ and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ”.
Reportedly, the commander also argued that Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth” and that the Iran war is part of God's plan.
Beginning on 28 February 2026, the US and Israel engaged in coordinated joint attacks on various sites in Iran, and the attacks have targeted key Iranian officials, military commanders and facilities.
