The incident occurred last night following the Champions League final.

Two people have been shot dead at an Irish pub in a popular holiday hotspot.

A masked man entered Monaghan's pub in Fuengirola shortly after last night's Champions League final.

Two people were shot dead in front of horrified tourists before the attacker fled the scene.

According to the BBC, Spanish officials have confirmed that the victims were two Scottish men.

It's also been revealed that the two men had links to organised crime.

Spanish media has reported that an official investigation has been launched by the region's specialist and violent crime unit (UDEV).

Local reports have claimed that the incident was gang-related.

Just six weeks ago, there was another fatal shooting in the nearby town of Calahonda.

A 32-year-old British man was shot dead in a professional hit while heading back to his car after watching a football match.

The attackers flead in a getaway car which was later set on fire.

Police are investigating the crime as a drug-related gang shooting however, no arrests have been made.
