Maybe not quite an Oscar-worthy performance

Donald Trump has ripped into Keir Starmer with an impersonation of the PM in a video at a private event which was leaked online.

While we all sit and wonder how on earth we got to this point, Trump has been on a mission of chaos recently at the White House.

In the last few days, the US president has compared himself to Jesus, claimed Emmanuel Macron's wife hits him and has now taken a swipe at Keir Starmer.

Speaking at an Easter event on Wednesday, Trump addressed plenty of topics across a speech which lasted an extended duration of time.

According to senior politics reporter at Business Insider, Bryan Metzger, the event was supposed to be private, however, an hour long video was uploaded to the White House YouTube before it was later taken down.

Fortunately for us, people had already taken the chance to download the video, with the clips being leaked since.

Talking about the UK, who "should be our best ally" Trump spoke to his audience about King Charles and Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

At the 04:50 mark of the video he said: "The King is coming over here in two weeks, he's a nice guy, King Charles.

"[Britain] should be our best but they weren't our best.

"I said [to Starmer] you have two, old broken down aircraft carriers, do you think you could send them over?"

Putting on a weak sounding voice, Mr Trump said: '[Starmer said] Ohhh I'll have to ask my team.

"I said you're the Prime Minister, you don't have to.

"[Starmer said] No, no, no, I have to ask my team. My team has to meet, we're meeting next week.

"[I said] but the war already started. Next week the war's going to be over...in three days, my prediction."

He rounded this bit out with "by the way, do we have the greatest military ever?" to rapturous applause from the room.

Ever the humble president.
