It might be the same chair, but Noah intends to take the Daily Show in a new direction, taking the p*ss out of sites like Buzzfeed and Gawker and not just old foe Fox News.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “The Daily Show was based on an emerging 24 hour news cycle, that’s everything it was.
“That’s what inspired The Daily Show. Now you look at news and it’s changed. It’s no longer predicated around 24 hour news. There are so many different choices.”
“I’m taking things in a slightly different direction, but to the same endpoint,” Noah added.
It's never going to be the same again, but we'd be lying if we said we weren't excited and intrigued to tune in on September 28.
