Tinder introduce Height Verification Badge to stop people lying about how tall they are

Rudi Kinsella

Attention Catfish! Your time’s up…

Have you ever told a little white lie on Tinder? Maybe you’ve said that you played youth football for West Ham, when in reality you couldn’t kick snow off a rope.

Or maybe you said that you drive a slightly better car than you do in real life. Or, as many guys in particular have, you’ve thrown out the ‘six foot’ line, when in reality, you’re just about 5’9″ when you’re wearing the right pair of shoes.

Well, sorry fellas, but you won’t get away with that one for much longer.

Tinder will now make you verify your height, before you brag about it on the dating app.

Here’s how it works:

You’ll simply input your true, accurate height with a screenshot of you standing next to any commercial building, and they’ll do some state-of-the-art verifying and you’ll receive your badge directly on your profile.

Simple as. Unless you’ve been lying the whole time…

Tinder’s Height Verification Badge (HVB) is not in use just yet, but it will be soon.

They announced the news on their official Twitter page on Friday.

You can find out more information on the official Tinder website here.
