This moving Facebook post captures people’s attention after the devastating bombing in Ankara

‘You were Charlie, you were Paris. Will you be Ankara?’

A post calling for empathy with the victims of the suicide bomb attack which struck the Turkish capital of Ankara has been widely shared on Facebook.

James Taylor, the man responsible for the post, has lived in the city for 18 months and encourages readers to imagine how such an attack might affect their lives if it were to happen in their home town.

34 people were killed in the attack with a further 125 wounded, and Taylor questions why it seems some people don’t appear to ‘feel the same pain’ as they did in the wake of other terrorist attacks in Paris, New York and London.
