Spring hasn’t sprung yet…

The UK is set to be hit by a 10-day spell of drizzle and rain starting this week, according to forecasters.

Despite the fact that May is just around the corner, the weather seems determined to make us think it’s still Novembers.

With the exception of a handful of days, we can all agree that the weather so far this spring has been pretty grim.

Whilst some of us were treated to sunny spells over the weekend, the temperatures were still pretty chilly.

And it looks like we shouldn’t be putting the umbrella and raincoat away just yet.

According to forecasts on BBC Weather, large parts of the UK will be hit by a 10 days of rain, starting from Thursday.

This includes cities such as London, Liverpool, Bristol and Manchester.

For other areas, like Wales and northwest England, the wet spell is kicking off from today.

Temperatures don’t look set to rise over the coming days either, and winds will make it feel even colder, the Metro reports.

Once we get to the end of April though, the mercury should start to rise, with London predicted to see temperatures of around 17C from next week.

The Met Office predicts that the UK will see an average mount of rain in early May, while this may be below average in the north.
