The incident was captured on CCTV with the viral star getting up and finishing his pint after the attack.

Ronnie Pickering, who you probably know from the infamous viral road video, has spoken out after being attacked in a Hull pub.

Pickering went viral in 2015 after he clashed with somebody driving past him on a moped.

He was ‘ambushed’ by a ‘young thug’ outside the Wawne Ferry pub in the coastal city, with the Hull Daily Mail reporting it occurred at around 9pm, whilst he was outside smoking.

Video footage shows a man trying to hold Pickering’s attacker back, before Pickering is then hit with a single punch to the head.

Pickering told the Hull Daily Mail: “This lad was shouting, ‘Fight me, fight me!’ I never answered him. I just blanked him. I just wasn’t interesting in fighting anyone.

“I saw him take a run and then he punched me to the temple.

“I hadn’t been in a stance, if you know what I mean. I wasn’t prepared for it. I feel straight backwards, hitting a bench and then a wall.”

He added that he was worried what could have happened to him: “People in this city have died after being hit by a single punch.

“I have had a lot of calls and texts from people who saw what happened. They all think it was bang out of order.”

Although, despite getting attacked, Ronnie reportedly finished his pint following the incident. So, at least he wasn’t feeling too out of it in the aftermath.
