A new threat has been issued to the West by a close ally of Russian president Vladimir Putin, just days after he said a nuclear strike on Britain was “inevitable”.
Putin mouthpiece Vladimir Solovyov has listed the capital cities that could be targeted, in his new WW3 threat for Europe.
The Kremlin propagandist, who is also a TV host, said that Berlin, Paris and Vienna could be potential targets if Russia decides to strike.
Just days earlier he said that there is “casus belli” (an act or situation provoking or justifying war) for a nuclear strike on Britain, as a result of the presence of British armed forces in Ukraine.
“Once again we will have to destroy Berlin, and enter this godforsaken city. Once again we will have to enter Paris. Once again we will have to liberate Vienna. Well perhaps the Austrians will reconsider”, Solovyov said in a chilling new warning on Tuesday.
“It doesn't mean that we want this. But one of the principles postulated by our supreme commander-in-chief is when we are forced to act then we act. First, of course, the principle of 'do no harm' but then…please don't blame us”, he added.
Last week, UK Ministry of Defence said that paratrooper George Hooley, 28, had been killed in Ukraine away from the front lines as he watched Ukrainian forces testing a new defensive capability.
However, this has been labelled as “casus belli” also by Andrey Sidorov, another Putin propagandist.
“This incident should be considered a 'casus belli', when the British Ministry of Defence officially acknowledged the death of its military personnel on active duty on Ukrainian territory”, he said on state TV.
According to Western intelligence agencies, Moscow is stepping up its hybrid war attacks in Europe, as they claim that Kremlin is preparing for war with NATO.
NATO last week warned Europe to be prepared for “the scale of war our grandparents and great-grandparents endured”.
