The American city has been the scene of protests for more than 50 days
Violence has escalated in the American city of Portland in recent days after US president Donald Trump ordered federal troops to crackdown on protestors.
The city has been the scene of consistent protests over the past 50 days, and Trump deemed it necessary to send forces in to shut them down. Those forces, which allegedly include police without identification and with their faces covered, have been accused of arresting and picking up protesters off the street without explanation.
Forces have been seen driving through the city in unmarked cars, and the Department of Homeland Security has been accused of abusing its power in shutting down the protests.
