An ‘intelligence-led’ operation culminated in a man being shot dead by the police
Police shot a man dead and arrested two others following an “intelligence-led” operation in Coventry.
West Midlands Police said two men were arrested at the address in Burnaby Road.

The force executed a warrant at the address at around 6.20pm on Friday night.
“One man was shot and pronounced dead at the scene while two other men were detained by officers,” a police statement said.
One Twitter user said: “My brother lives on Burnaby road (and a) policeman told him to get inside as someone has been shot.
“Not letting anyone on Burnaby road over 17 police cars armed police on street.”
Police told people to stay inside. The area is currently cordoned off.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
