People think Kevin Hart's reaction during interview confirms the Illuminati exists

Members of the society are said to include Beyoncé and Nicolas Cage

Fans are convinced that Kevin Hart is part of the Illuminati after resurfaced footage showed him attempting to silence Kelly Clarkson.

Appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show last year, Hart could be seen “shushing” the talk show host after she spoke about doing things for money she “really didn’t want to do.”

Clarkson then questioned Hart as to whether he had also received such offers before suggesting that the people offering the money “must be in the room.” He then put his finger to his mouth in a shushing motion.

“That was my way of queuing you,” Hart states, adding, “its open dialogue, we can talk about anything but [not that].”

He then shushed her again with his finger.

While the clip is fairly open to interpretation, some social media users have suggested that Hart could be connected to a secret society that controls the world.

“Watched a video where @kellyclarkson and @KevinHart4real were talking and Kevin stopped her from talking because of the Illuminati,” one person wrote on Twitter. “Kevin was shusshing her, Kevin hart your saying someone or group has that much power over actors & singers??? Really??”

Another added: “Is it the NWO [New World Order]?”

Over the years, the term Illuminati has been used to describe a range of secret societies with members including everyone from Bill Clinton to Beyoncé, Rihanna to Nicolas Cage.

The original group stemmed from the Bavarian Illuminati, an Enlightenment-era secret society founded in 1776 by law professor Adam Weishaupt. They were originally named Bund der Perfektibilisten, or Covenant of Perfectibility (Perfectibilists), but changed the name in 1778 because his first choice was too strange. He also considered naming the group the Bee Order.
