Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo also confirmed the main suspect in the attack, the deadliest shooting in US history, was 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.
The lone gunman fired shots at revellers from the 32nd floor of the 43-storey Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.
Marilou Danley was also being sought for questioning regarding the investigation and police have said that "they have located the vehicles in question, and we are confident we have located the female person of interest."
