TikTok star’s son shot dead day before 19th birthday as she pleads with followers to find killer

'I'm asking for somebody's help — anybody's help. Please.'

TikTok star Ophelia Nichols has shocked her followers be revealing her teenage son was shot and killed the day before his 19th birthday. In an emotional three-minute video posted on Sunday, Nicolas asked her seven million followers to help, "I ain't never asked y'all for anything but I need your help with this", she said, before revealing that her son, 18-year-old Randon Lee, had been murdered overnight. Nichols went on to explain how Lee was "taken from [her]" along with the rest of his family, adding that while she has "never felt hate towards anyone... this individual took my son's life" and it left her with "hatred in her heart".

Posing the suggestion that the killer is still "out there in [her] town" and might be watching, Nichols urges the individual to "look at his face... because I'll never see it again". The video ends with Nichols imploring those watching to come forward with any information they might have and to help in any way they can: "I'm asking for somebody's help — anybody's help. Please." Posting an update in the comments section filled with well-wishes and people expressing their sorrow, Nichols wrote: "Just been told we have a lead on 2 individuals. I hope they see this video & know what they have done to my family." Nichols said her son was shot at an Exxon gas station at around 7:45am on Friday. He then drove to a second station, Energizer, in the town of Prichard, Alabama, near Mobile, where he was found to have died from his injuries.
