Crowds for "March for Our Lives" exceeded expectations and reached 800,000 people according to reports, dwarfing President Trump's inauguration figure of roughly 500,000 and becoming one of the largest political rallies in America since the Vietnam war era, with separate demonstrations taking place across all 50 states of the country and elsewhere across the globe.
Remington announced that they were planning to file for bankruptcy last month but held off doing so following the horrific events in Florida just weeks ago. Various retailers have since taken measures to restrict the sale of their guns, most notably with superstore chain Fred Myers committing to stop selling ammunition and firearms, whilst Dick's Sporting Goods will no longer sell assault-style rifles and Walmart will not sell guns to anyone under the age of 21.
