Nigel Farage got royally trolled live on TV in European Parliament

He'll be red-faced after this. More than he is normally, anyway.

A lot of people really like Nigel Farage. A lot of people really don’t like Nigel Farage.

There’s no prizes for guessing which side of the fence Labour MEP Seb Dance is sitting on after his antics in the European Parliament today.

Dance, the Labour MEP for London, was spotted holding a sign behind Farage as the former Ukip leader addressed Parliament.

The sign said: “He’s lying to you” with an arrow pointing in Farage’s direction. This would have been very embarrassing for Farage if it was, say, broadcast live on television.

Hang on a minute…

Farage was addressing the European Parliament on Donald Trump’s travel ban on citizens from seven predominantly Muslim countries, saying that the new President should be invited to address Parliament.

Dance then appeared to be reprimanded by a parliamentary official for holding up the sign.

The former Ukip leader has been vocal in his support for the 45th President, even sporting a little Trump badge on his lapel.

Some saw the funny side of Dance’s sign.

Others were less impressed with the MEP’s actions.

Most unimpressed of all appeared to be Ukip, who, according to Business Insider, have filed an official complaint with the Parliament’s President Antonio Tajani.
