Gutierrez scored a vital goal for the Magpies as they avoided relegation in 2015.
Newcastle legend Jonas Gutierrez has landed his first job as a manager almost a decade on since he beat cancer.
Gutierrez revealed he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer back in 2014 before memorably going on to score on his return to help the Magpies avoid relegation in 2015.

“When I was told I had cancer, I went home in tears,” he told Argentine TV show TyC Sports.
“In May 2013, I felt very tough pains on my testicle. After some wrong diagnosis, an ultrasound detected the tumour.
“I came here and I assumed the costs despite having a contract with Newcastle. Money is not important. What is important is my health. I had to start chemotherapy.”
The Argentine left the club and ended his career back in his homeland at Primera B Nacional side Club Almagro in his home city of Buenos Aires.
