South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron has been found dead at their home aged 24.

She was found by a friend who alerted the police on Sunday. Authorities are investigating her death but do not expect any foul play.

The actress, who was a rising star, found fame on Netflix show Bloodhounds.

She has appeared in a number of film and TV shows since beginning her acting career at just nine years old.

She grew in popularity as a child star in 2009 film A Brand New Life and 2010’s The Man From Nowhere.

She went on to be cast in more leading roles in 2014 film A Girl At My Door and 2011 TV drama series Listen To My Heart.

She obtained her first adult lead role in 2016 TV drama Secret Healer, the same year she signed with YG Entertainment.

After appearing in 2018 thriller The Villagers and campus web drama Love Playlist, she left YG Entertainment and joined Gold Medalist with actors Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Yea-ji in 2020.

Kim Sae-ron took on the lead female role of a 12-episode web series called The Great Shaman Ga Doo-shim in 2021, before being cast in SBS drama Trolley.

Sadly, she left the project months later after suffering a DUI incident after drunk driving charges were filed against her.
