He cited his age as reasoning
Former US President George W Bush spoke on the “brutal” and “unjustified” war in Iraq; the only problem was that he was meant to talk about Ukraine.
In a truly Biden-esque moment, Bush, 75, spoke on fair elections while also critiquing the Russian political system from his presidential centre in Dallas, Texas.
‘The result is an absence of checks and balances in Russia, and the decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq,’ Bush said with his chest.

That’s when the realisation set in, that not only was he referring to the wrong war, but he was referencing the war he had a hand in, and one that consistently gets him labelled a war criminal by activists.
“I mean, of Ukraine,” he added.
After what seems like hours of silence, the 43rd President added: “Iraq too, anyway.”
This did make the crowd laugh, which seemingly gave Bush the gusto to quip “I’m 75” as reasoning for his blunder.

Twitter users also spoke on the devastation of the Iraq war, with one person writing: “War criminal George Bush accidentally condemning the US invasion of Iraq as “unjustified and brutal” while demonising Russia may be history’s greatest Freudian slip.
